Building Healthy Communities Through Food

On Saturday July 15 the California Food and Justice Coalition is holding a day long workshop entitled “Building Healthy Communities Through Food”. The workshop will be held at the EcoVillage Farm Learning Center in Richmond and will run from 8:30am-4:00pm.

The focus of the workshop is “increasing access to healthy foods and making change in our communities”. Lots of people throughout the Bay Area and even the State will be attending, so there will be great networking opportunities.

Workshop topics include: “Increasing Access to Healthy and Local Food”, “Growing Food in the City” and Project Planning. I will be presenting and facilitating at the Project Planning workshop, which will be held at 1:00pm. There will also be a tour of the EcoVillage Farm starting at 10:30am.

Although the registration deadline has passed you may be able to squeeze in if you call CFJC at (310) 822-5410. It’s a worthwhile workshop to attend. See you there.
