Help us build our Agriculture Park

This summer People's Grocery has the opportunity to grow lots of local and organic produce while providing jobs to Oakland youth. A 15 acre farm project is taking off in Sunol (southern Alameda County) called the Agriculture Park.

Part working farm and part parkland, the Agriculture Park will provide farm land to People's Grocery and others to grow food for their communities.

Your donation helps fund:
~ Training and meaningful jobs for youth
~ Growing healthy food for inner city folks
~ Building sustainable and local agriculture
~ Creating rural and urban relationships

The food we grow will be distributed to residents in West Oakland who rarely get the chance to eat fresh and locally grown produce.

We are looking for financial support to make this opportunity a reality this summer. We need about $20,000 more this summer to cover the costs of farm staff, tools and equipment, seeds and organic inputs, an irrigation system, water, and fuel.

These basic materials are essential to making this a success. With your help we can grow a lot of food and help our community eat healthier.

We need your help right now. Please consider how much of a contribution towards the launch of our 2 acre farm you would like to give and enter that amount below.
